I happily blog about the places I live. Born in the Netherlands, raised in Suriname, back to Amsterdam to earn my Masters in IT, I decided to move to Africa after living in New York for over two decades. For quick updates, photos and reels, follow me on WhatsApp: Locs, Fashion & Freedom.

Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, has been my home away from home for over 14 years. Being surrounded by cultured, intelligent, and creative souls allowed me to stretch, grow, and expand my world in ways I could never have imagined. More than anything, I am deeply grateful to leave on such a high note. It was at the legendary Billie Holiday Theatre that my documentary, BAD Hair Uprooted: The Untold History of Black Follicles, premiered—under the watchful gaze of the bronze statue of Biggie. For this, I was honored to receive a Certificate of Recognition from the City of New York. 🙏🏽 Click to read about Life in New York.
Amsterdam is the city where I grew into adulthood, immersing myself in European culture, learning about life, and earning a Master's Degree in IT from the University of Amsterdam.

Suriname, the smallest country in South America and the greenest country on the planet, is home to me. It is where I went to school and grew up, the foundation of my being.
