Battle of the Hair Towels which one is best?

I found the best hair towel on the planet and you can win one, totally free! Just look at the picture right now and comment before reading any further (nor watching the video) saying which one you think is the best hair towel and why. Is it the blue, pink or purple? Don't cheat, LOL.

Like many of you, I have been looking for the best towel to maintain and dry my hair. The longer my locs grew, the more important it became to find a good towel to dry my locs as quickly as possible. You know that it is essential to dry locs properly because moisture trapped in locs can grow mildew.

Too many hair towels look and sound great then when you have them, it's like  meh. I tried almost every towel on the planet. Finally I think I succeeded and I am super exited to share.

Just so you know, hair towels can have a significant influence on your hair’s health. So first let's look at what makes a good hair towel.

What Makes A Good Hair Towel?

A good hair towel:

  • Is highly absorbent.
  • It quickly dries.
  • Doesn’t leave lint.
  • Doesn't disturb curls.
  • Is anti-micro bacterial.

Hair Towel Materials-Which is Better?

From classic cotton to microfiber and bamboo there are so many towels you can choose from these days that it is easy to get lost. No worries, I got you. I tried them all so you don't have to. I even put them to the test so you can see the winner for yourself.

Bamboo Towels

In general bamboo towels are super soft and nice to the feel towels. It is hard not too like them. They have a uniquely soft feel. Even though this material is also quite absorbent, it doesn’t absorb as quickly but where it really fails is that it dry quickly. And I mean it doesn't dry quickly at all. Bamboo towels takes ages to dry!

This means bamboo towels fail the test to be a good hair towel. You do not want to walk around with a wet towel on your head. Not only will water drip in your face but as long as the towel stays wet your hair doesn't get a chance to dry.

Microfiber Towel

One thing I've learned is that not all materials are equal. We know that microfiber is highly absorbent but even if a towel is made of microfiber it doesn't tell you anything about the quality of the towel. .

See the difference in absorption.
This image shows you the difference in absorption if you missed it in the video. The pink towel has the widest spread and you can see that at the end of the spread it is already drying. Isn't that amazing!

See how the towels compare when it comes to leaking. Most water will drip from the blue Microfiber towel and the pink bamboo towel is a good second. Again, the pink microfiber towel wins.

I can't say enough about this towel and I am sure you want one. They make great gifts so get one for your BFF as well because you get 20% of the second towel. Click to get the Best Microfiber Hair Towel

In the mean time, I will be looking at the comments and will let you know the winner in a week. I hope you left a comment. Feel free to share!

The pink towel is the winner because there’s hardly any wetness on it. Meaning it’s fast drying and you won’t have to worry about mildew setting in the towel.

I think the purple towel is better because it looks wetter, like it soaked up more water.
