I Just Started Locs What Products Do I Need?

I'm starting locs. What products do I need? Okay, you don't need a lot of products when you start locs. What I would recommend when you're starting locs, no matter what type of locs, whether it's micro locs, traditional locs, or any type of locs, what I do recommend is to invest in three things.

There's this;

1. A bonnet

And I mean, get a good bonnet, get like a silk bonnet, a real high quality silk bonnet because you're going to use it for, unless your locs are outgrowing, but you will keep it for, I mean, the next two, three years of your loc journey and they will keep the frizz down and they will keep your locs from unraveling and they will prevent slippage.

Slippage is when your loc is just, yeah, kind of unraveling the same thing. So one, a good bonnet.

2. A good microfibre towel

Good microfibre towel absorbs water out of your hair without disturbing your locs. So it also keeps the loc from frizzing and from unraveling. So that's why you need a microfiber towel. And it absorbs more water than any other regular towel and usual, regular towels also tend to leave lint in your hair.

That microfibre towel, good quality microfiber towel doesn't do that.

3. The scalp roller

The scalp roller is absolutely a lifesaver and I recommend it because every time you retire locs, you know, it helps with sensitivity, but also because your scalp, getting used to being exposed so it's gonna need some care and the scalp roller  helps make preparing yourscalp for the outside world.It helps keep your scalp in shape.

Bottom Line

So the three things that I would recommend is a silk bonnet. At fast it may be it may be a little bit more expensive either a silk bonnet if you can't keep bonnet bonnet or a silk pillowcase and you're gonna use these for at least the next two years so even if it's $40 for over two three years, you do the math.

So one a silk bonnet or a pillowcase, two a microfibre towel (high quality) and the scalp roller are the three things you're gonna need all through your journey and you're going to use them like at least for the next two years so that's my recommendation.
