After trying perm rods, flexi rods, spiral rods, the loc-curlers and wrap a locs, I gave these Afro Curlers a try. The first time I only used water. My hair was washed but already dry so I spritzed before rolling.
My hair was not completely dry so some curls were not as tight. To get the tightest curls make sure your hair is damp. It's best to use the rollers after your hair is washed and damp. The curls lasted for two weeks.
Second time I did it with the Hair Growth Tea and noticed the curls were tighter and lasted longer. Using a little oil may give a stronger hold but the hair will take longer to dry.
These curlers work on all hair types, locs, naturals, straight and weaves. Depending on the density of your hair or how many locs you have, I'd recommend at least 6 packs for one whole head. With about 200 locs, I used 42 rollers. I rolled 3 to 6 locs on one roller.
From all the curlers I've ever tried, these were the best ones and here is why. The Afro Curlers are:
- quick to dry
- super comfortable
- easy to use
