BAD Hair Uprooted, the Untold History of Black Follicles a Documentary in the works

Watch BAD Hair Uprooted, the Untold History of Black Follicles: A Documentary in the Works

At the opening of my exhibition, I shared a sneak peek of something I’ve been working on this summer: the documentary BAD Hair Uprooted: The Untold History of Black Follicles.

By showcasing a perspective I haven’t seen explored before, I aim to open up the conversation and create awareness about the privileges many people take for granted—but that Black individuals simply don’t have.

This project is about more than just hair; it’s about challenging societal norms and shedding light on the inequities Black people face in the workplace and beyond. My goal is to broaden the conversation, spark dialogue, and encourage people to rethink what "normal" really means.

If you can, please do me a favor and watch this documentary preview, then share your feedback. It’s a work in progress, and your input will help shape this project and reach a wider audience.
