Watching the Eclipse in Almere, the Netherlands

On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, a partial solar eclipse swept across the Netherlands, obscuring nearly 90% of the sun right before sunset—the most significant eclipse seen here in almost 30 years! 🌅✨

To witness this rare moment, I headed out to the IJmeer in Almere with two of my besties. With brilliant blue skies, a front-row view over the water it was an unforgettable afternoon. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves! ☀️👇
