The documentary will be streamed right here live on Monday at 8 pm EST.
The Going Natural Video Diaries is a film that asks Black men and women about their hair experience.
What are their issues, are Black men's the same as Black women's, how do they differ, what is our shared experience and can we as women relate but most of all; can we (re)connect?
The goal is to reveal how Black people connect and relate to their follicles to help us heal at the root.
In general, we can ask ourselves: Why do so many Black women go natural? How do they do it and how do or did they cope with the issues of going natural? What ARE the issues? Do we share the same issues but most of all what drives us and what does Going Natural teach us?
